Actions
How an automation spends the monthly pool on a message, an AI step, or a Botinho.
The size of your pool is on the pricing section and on Subscription. Reset, WhatsApp, and add-ons are on Limits.
Where do I see action use?
Open Subscription in the sidebar. That page shows how much of the pool is left. This page explains what one automation spends.
How does an automation spend actions?
Starting a flow spends 1. That charge happens once per run. A step that only sets a tag, a field, a delay, or an assignee spends nothing more. Starting another flow from this one spends 1 again, because that is a new run.
A plain message spends 1. A saved reply or a template spends 1. A call to your own API spends 1 when it goes out. A flow that starts and sends one text spends 2. A public reply on a comment is another send, unless it goes out with the AI or Botinho reply below.
An AI step spends 10. The message that step sends is inside those 10. With the run, one AI answer is 11. A message after that AI step spends 1 more. If the model writes nothing, those 10 come back. The 1 for the run stays.
A Botinho step spends 10 the same way, and the message it sends is inside those 10. With the run, that answer is 11. Each call that Botinho makes to your API spends 1 more. If the Botinho is already silent, the step sends nothing and does not spend 10. The step ends the flow.
If the same run has an AI step and then a Botinho step, the run is still 1 and each reply is its own 10.
| What the run does | Actions |
|---|---|
| Sends one text | 2 |
| Sends one AI reply | 11 |
| Sends an AI reply, then another message | 12 |
| The Botinho replies once | 11 |
| An AI reply, then the Botinho replies | 21 |
| The Botinho replies and calls your API once | 12 |
A later customer message is not part of this run. If a Botinho is set to reply on that channel, that reply spends 10 and does not start another flow. See Who answers.
What can go wrong?
Why did the AI step send nothing?
The pool could not cover 10 actions, or the model returned no text. When there is no text, those 10 come back. The 1 for starting the run stays spent. A Botinho that has reached its turn limit sends a short fixed message instead, and that message spends 1.
Why did the next customer message cost 10 again?
The Botinho step ends the flow. The next message is a new reply from the Botinho on that channel, not another step of the same run. That reply spends 10, and its send is included.
Why did a run stop before the last step?
A new run spends 1, and each later send spends 1, unless that send is the message inside an AI or Botinho reply. If the pool is used up, the run cannot continue.
